How to Get Mudkip in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time"
Mudkip is a water-type Pokemon with some powerful attacks -- especially for such a small Pokemon. Rejected by May in the anime series for being too stubborn, the Mudkip can nevertheless enhance a Pokemon team. To play as Mudkip in the "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" series, specifically "Explorers of Time," the game must determine the player's personality to be "lonely" if female or "rash" if male. The game determines this through a series of questions and chooses the Pokemon that best suits your personality.

Set up a new profile in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time" and start the quiz.

Answer the questions with responses that best reflect the traits "lonely" if female or "rash" if male. For example, if asked "You're daydreaming... when your friend sprays you with water! What do you do?" you would choose "Get sad" as your answer if female. If male and asked "You hear a rumor that might make you rich! What do you do?" you would answer with "Share it with friends."

If you do not get Mudkip in the quiz, you can select it as your companion Pokemon. Once the quiz is complete, you will be presented with a list of options for your companion. If Mudkip is not listed, select a random Pokemon and choose "No" if asked if you are sure. A new list of Pokemon will appear. Repeat this process until Mudkip appears as an option.
