The Saitek ST290 is a gaming joystick designed for flight-simulation games. This joystick has a three-position palm rest and five trigger buttons. The ST290 USB adjustable flight stick is used mainly in PC gaming. However, it can be used with the PlayStation 3.

Plug your connection cable from your regular controller into the primary controller port on your PS3. Make sure the system is on.

Plug the flight stick's USB cable into a controller port on the PS3. Because the flight stick is not a standard controller, it must be configured in the "Settings" menu.

Press the "PS" button on your controller to open the "Settings" menu, select the "Controller" option and press the "X" button.

Scroll to the "AUX Controller" option and press the "X" button. The "Saitek ST290" will appear in the the "AUX" listing. Scroll to select the flight stick and press the "X" button.
