If you are working with several other designers on a single network, organizing serial numbers for Photoshop can become confusing. If you do not own a group license, you may need to reset your serial number frequently. Some people take the long route of uninstalling and then reinstalling the program, but this can take hours. This alternative method takes only a few minutes and can get you quickly back to working on what is important.
Open Photoshop, Click the "Help" menu and select "Deactivate."
Check the box next to "Erase my serial number from this computer after deactivation complete." Click the "Deactivate" button.
Relaunch Photoshop after it has finished closing down. Enter the serial number you would like to use.
Tips & Warnings
- After deactivating the serial number, you can choose to start a new 30-day trial rather than enter a new serial number.
