How to Reset a NEC VT480 Projector

The NEC VT480 tabletop multimedia projector has two primary factory reset options: “Current Signal” and “All Data.” With the “Current Signal” option, you can reset certain current source signal settings to factory defaults. With the “All Data” option, you can reset all settings, except for a few areas, to factory defaults. The VT480 also lets you individually clear and reset the lamp and filter hours. Resetting any of these options simply requires that you access the main menu and reset submenu on the machine’s LCD using the remote control or console keys.

Turn on your NEC VT480 projector.

Press the “Menu” key on the remote control or console to open the main menu.

Highlight “Reset” on the display by pressing the down arrow key on the remote or the “Select” down arrow key on the console. Select the option by pressing the right arrow or “Enter” key.

Select a “Reset” option: “Current Signal," “All Data," “Clear Lamp Hours” or “Clear Filter Hours.”

Confirm your selection if prompted by highlighting “Yes” and pressing the right arrow or “Enter” key.
