How to Wire a Kicker CVR Speaker
Kicker's CompVR (CVR) subwoofers are produced in 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch models. CompVR subwoofers have an impedance of four ohms and a single set of terminals, so they are well-suited for use with a variety of different amplifiers. Whatever amplifier you decide to use with the CVR, wiring the subwoofer is a simple process that should only take a few minutes of your time.

Cut a length of speaker wire long enough to reach from the subwoofer terminals to the speaker terminals of the amplifier. Pull the leads on the ends of the speaker wire apart with your fingers, and remove 5/8-inch of insulation from the ends of each speaker wire lead using wire strippers. Note the lead that is marked "+" which is printed on its insulation covering.

Loosen the screw terminals on the amplifier marked "Speaker +" and "Speaker -" . Slide the bare end of the "+" speaker wire lead into the "+" terminal and tighten. Place the other lead in the "-" terminal.

Push down on the red terminal on the back of the subwoofer and insert the end of the "+" lead into the opening that appears. Put the other lead into the black terminal.
