How to Update the AT&T Toolbar

As a plug-in for your browser, the AT&T toolbar enables immediate access to your email, scans potentially harmful websites, checks for spyware software and provides access to your account. The AT&T toolbar, which is free for all AT&T subscribers, sits below your browser's address bar. Updates for the the toolbar are available from the AT&T site, which installs a program that removes the current version of the toolbar and installs the latest version to your browser.

Instructions

1. Visit the AT&T toolbar site, and click "Download Now." Click "Run" in the pop-up dialog box to automatically run the installer wizard, which installs the necessary AT&T software on to your hard drive.

2. Click the "Start" icon in the Windows task bar, and then click "All Programs." Click "AT&T Software" to run the AT&T toolbar update program.

3. Click "Next" and "Agree" to agree to the toolbar's license agreement. Click "Update" to uninstall the outdated AT&T toolbar from the browser and install the latest toolbar.

4. Click "Finish" once the update is complete, and restart your computer to finalize the installation.

5. Launch your Internet browser to view the updated AT&T toolbar.
