How Do I Enable Pen Markings in PowerPoint?

If you have Microsoft's PowerPoint presentation program, then you can use a pen tool to doodle, add notes and scribble on your screen. Your creations will appear as a graphic on your PowerPoint slide. You can click on the doodling or scribbling and delete it if you decide later that it does not belong in your slide.

  • Open your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file. To do this, click your "Start" menu, followed by this sequence of programs: "All Programs," "Microsoft Office," "Microsoft PowerPoint." Once PowerPoint opens, click the "Office Button" at the top left of the screen. Then click "Open." Locate your file, double-click the file, and the file will open on your screen.

  • Press the "F5" button. This moves your presentation into a slideshow form.

  • Press the "Control" button and the "P" button at the same time. This turns your cursor into a pen.

  • Doodle, scribble and write directly on your screen. Once you are done, press "Enter" twice. When prompted, press the "Keep" button. Your doodles will turn into images on your presentation.

  • Click the images to highlight them. Press "Delete" to discard them.
