How to Create Different Shapes of Eyebrows
If eyes are the window to a woman's soul, then eyebrows are the window frames. This often overlooked makeup step is key to having a polished, finished look. Many women over-pluck, under-pluck, use too much eye pencil, or simply don't pay attention to their eyebrows. They balance the face and project an aura of beauty and confidence. There are many different eyebrow shapes and styles; your ideal brows depend on their shape, where they are positioned in relation to your eyes, and the shape of your face. Does this Spark an idea?

Highly arched, dramatic eyebrows frame an oval face. Decide what shape you would like your eyebrows to be, taking your face shape into consideration. Dramatic arches works best if your face is oval-shaped and your brows are high. On square faces, rounded brows will soften your look. Rounder faces look best in curved brows that have some angles and sharp lines. Thin faces can carry a flat brow with a smaller arch.

Eyebrows need to be groomed carefully Brush eyebrows straight up with an eyebrow brush. Using facial hair scissors, cut the longer hairs straight across. Look in the mirror after each snip to make sure the brows are even. Do not cut too much, or your eyebrows will become too thin, making you look older.

Tweeze outside the lines Draw your preferred shape under the brow with white eyeliner. Follow the natural line of your brows. Beginning near your nose, tweeze hairs. Do not tweeze more than two rows of hairs; three rows may be plucked under the arch if you want a dramatic look. Look in the mirror every few plucks to make sure your brows are symmetrical.

Perfect your look with eyebrow powder or pencil. Wash off the eyeliner and examine your brows. Tweeze more if needed, being careful not to over-tweeze. When satisfied with your brow shape, brush the brows and fill in any sparse areas with eyebrow powder or pencil. Apply using short, upward strokes.
