How to Change Webcam Sources on Skype

Skype provides a simple interface for selecting the webcam video source used by the application in order to make video calls. If you have multiple camera sources connected to your computer, Skype will automatically select the one that it deems most suitable for video calls. While you cannot change the video source mid-call, you can easily select your preferred camera from the settings dialog in Skype.

  • Click "Start," type "Skype" into the search box located at the bottom of the menu, and then press "Enter."

  • Click "Tools," and select "Options."

  • Click "Video Settings" in the "General" sub-menu.

  • Select your webcam source from the "Select Webcam" drop-down menu, and then click "Save."
