How to Hide Rows in Google Docs

How to Hide Rows in Google Docs thumbnail
Hide rows in a Google Docs spreadsheet just like in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Google Docs spreadsheets have similar functions to Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice Calc spreadsheets. Hiding a spreadsheet row is one of the functions and is easy to apply to a spreadsheet. To unhide the row, simply click on the row number to show it again. As of 2011, Google Docs has recently included this feature. Any document, including text documents and spreadsheets, created in Google Docs may be shared with other Google Doc users or emailed.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser and go to the Google website at google.com. Click "More" and click "Documents."

    • 2

Type your Google account email and password. Click "Sign in."

    • 3

Double-click the name of the Google Docs spreadsheet under "Documents" in the main window to open.

    • 4

Hover your mouse over the row number you want to hide and click the row number to highlight the row.

    • 5

Right-click the row to bring up a drop-down menu. Click "Hide Row" on the menu. A double arrow icon appears and the row is hidden.
