You're able to keep track of your items' popularity on eBay by visiting the My eBay section of the site. While the viewer count in My eBay is private, you can opt to show potential buyers the total number of people who visited an item's page by adding a visitor counter to it.

View your listings by clicking one of the links under Sell in the sidebar:

  • Clicking All Selling displays all current listings, as well as items sold within the past 60 days.
  • Scheduled lists items scheduled to be listed.
  • Active displays items you are currently selling.
  • Sold lists items sold within the past 60 days.
  • Unsold displays listings that did not attract buyers.

After clicking on one of the Listings options, scroll to the relevant listing. Under the Views/Watchers column, eBay lists two numbers. While the first number — Views — indicates how many times your listing was accessed, the second one — Watchers — tells you how many users added that particular listing to their Watch List.

Add a counter to the listing by selecting a style from the Visitor Counter drop-down menu and publishing your listing. It appears at the bottom of the listing's page.

Tip

  • Selecting Hidden from the drop-down menu creates a counter that only you can see. The other two styles, Basic and Retro-Computer, enable a counter that is visible to anyone who visits the listing.
