How to Do a Hard Reset on a Garmin GPS

Perform a hard reset to your Garmin GPS to resolve errors or freezes with the units operating system. • Find the "Reset" button on the rear of the Garmin GPS.

  • Remove the power cable from the rear of the Garmin GPS.

  • Press the "Reset" button to perform the hard reset.

  • Connect the Garmin to the power adapter.
