How to Turn Off the Keypad Vibration on an HTC Incredible

Save

The HTC Droid Incredible is a high-end Android phone for the Verizon cellular network. HTC builds in a series of enhancements and tweaks for their Android phones known as "HTC Sense," which includes a different Android keyboard than standard Android phones. This is an enhanced virtual keyboard program with many extra features such as long-hold alternate keys. It engages when you first power on and set up your HTC Droid Incredible. By default, the keyboard vibrates the phone whenever you press a key, simulating a physical keyboard. If you'd rather have a stationary keyboard, you can disable the vibration feature in the phone's settings menu.

  • Press the "Power" button on the phone. Slide the unlock tab down.

  • Press the "Menu" button, then tap "Settings." Scroll down the list, and then tap "Language & Keyboard."

  • Tap "Touch Input." Tap "Text Input." Tap "Vibrate when typing" to remove the check mark and disable keyboard vibration.
