How to Stream TV to an Android Phone


The simplest way to watch TV on your Android phone is by choosing an application from Android Market that streams full television shows. You will need to decide if you want to use a free application, or a paid TV streaming service. Keep in mind that some applications may not work on older versions of the Android phone. Also, make certain that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash player installed on your phone.

  • Open the Web browser on your Android phone and type in the search field. Press the search button. Click on the "Gmail" hyperlink located near the top of the web page. You will need to provide your Gmail account user name and password to log in to Android Market.

  • Type your user name in the "Username" field, and then type your password in the "Password" field. Click the "Sign In" button.

  • Type the keywords "TV Shows Stream" in the "Search" field and click the search button. On the left side of the web page, you will see a list of applications that you can pay for or use for free. Select an application that you want to download and install on your Android phone.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions for installing the TV shows application on your phone. Look for the application icon on the Home screen or listed under Settings. Click on the icon to launch the application.

  • Select one of the following options for viewing a streaming TV show. On the "TV Stream" screen are several options that you can choose among. To search for a TV show alphabetically, tap the "Search Alphabetically" button. A list of streaming TV shows will be shown on the display screen in alphabetical order that you can view.

  • Tap the "Search Manually" button and type the name of a streaming TV show that you want to view. Or tap the "Top Shows" button to view a list of popular streaming TV shows.

  • Tap on the name of the TV show that you want to view. A list of streaming TV video websites will be displayed on the display screen. Select a video website that you want to use to view the TV show of your choice. It will take a few moments for the program to load. Click the arrow button on the blank screen to start playing the TV show on your Android phone.
