How to Embed a YouTube Video Around Text in Dreamweaver CS3


YouTube is an online video website used for viewing and uploading videos. YouTube provides users with the ability to copy videos and embed the video's HTML source code into their websites, blogs, or web pages. Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 is a program that is used for creating web pages. Web designers can create sophisticated web pages using Dreamweaver and include images and text with embedded YouTube videos. Embedding a YouTube video in a Dreamweaver web page takes but a few simple steps.

  • Open your Web browser and go to YouTube's website (see Resources).

  • Locate the video you would like to embed in Dreamweaver and click on it to play.

  • Click the "Share" button below the video. Click the "Embed" button. Make a selection for the width and height of your video.

  • Click in the embed box to select the Video's HTML source code. Right-click and select "Copy."

  • Open Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. Write your content and text. Click "View" and then click "Code." This gets into the code window.

  • Position your cursor where you would like the video to show around the text and paste the video's HTML source code in the Dreamweaver's code window.

  • Click "View" and then click "Design" to view your web page in design view.

  • Click "File" and then "Save As." Give your web page a name and click "Save."
