"Neopets:" How to Get the Kass Basher Avatar

"Kass Basher" is a game in the online virtual pet game "Neopets" that allows you to play as a Blumaroo and take out your frustrations on the evil "Lord Kass." The object of the game is to hit a stuffed toy of "Kass" as far as you can. After you pass 850 meters, you are awarded a secret avatar. Factoring in the wind speed, height and angle of your swing can increase distance and velocity and help you earn this bonus.

Instructions

1. Visit "Meridell" and click on the "Kass Basher" game icon. Select "Easy Mode" and wait for the game to load. Do not press any buttons, as doing so may accidentally trigger a swing and result in one less chance to win the avatar.

2. Wait for the wind speed to reach "9." Do not swing before the wind reaches this point or else you will not hit the "Kass" toy far enough.

3. Click on the screen when the "Kass" toy reaches your character's ears and hit it at a high angle.

4. Hold down the left mouse button until the toy reaches its peak. When the toy begins to descend, let go of the mouse button and click on the screen each time it hits the ground. Clicking on the screen when the toy hits the ground causes "Kass" to bounce, gaining you distance. You will unlock the next game mode once you pass 175 meters.

5. Replay the game in "Medium Mode." After reaching 450 meters, you will unlock "Hard Mode."

6. Replay the game in "Hard Mode." This mode allows your character to hit "Kass" with a spiked bat. Hitting the toy when the wind reads "9" and at the proper height and angle can propel it to over 1,000 meters.

7. Earn the avatar by scoring 850 points or more.

Tips & Warnings

• You have a 1 in 10,000 chance of being given a tree in lieu of a bat. If you receive this random item, swing carefully. Hitting "Kass" with a tree can propel him up to 1,700-plus meters!
