How to Remove My Location From Twitter

Your Twitter profile is a steady glimpse into the events of your day or a marketing tool for your business. You can tweet about your work or about something going on in town. When you use social media and gather Twitter followers that you do not personally know, protecting your privacy and security is a priority. You can remove your location from any tweets you publish and from your Twitter profile.

  • Load your preferred Internet browser. Navigate to your Twitter homepage.

  • Click "Profile" in the top right corner.

  • Remove the check mark from the box beside "Add a location to your tweets." Click "Save." Enter your account password if prompted.

  • Select the "Profile" tab. Delete the town or state information from the "Location" field. Click "Save." Enter your account password if necessary. Click the "Twitter" logo in the upper-left corner to return to your homepage.
