How to Make Clickable PDF Files

A clickable word or phrase inside a PDF document is also known as a hyperlink. When you click on the hyperlink, an external address -- usually a Web page or another section of the same document -- loads. If you don't have access to the paid version of Adobe Acrobat Professional, in which you can create hyperlinked PDFs directly, you can also create and edit hyperlinks in another program that supports hyperlinks, such as Microsoft Word, and then save that document as a PDF. This process retains all hyperlinks, resulting in a clickable PDF.
