How to Open an SMS Message on a Blackberry Curve

The message service in the Blackberry Curve allows you to send and receive SMS messages on your Blackberry. Access your SMS messages directly from your Blackberry Curve's home screen. The message icon on the home screen will change to notify you of new messages, either by becoming larger or adding a star or similar object to the front. Check your messages regularly to avoid losing messages due to a lack of storage space.

Instructions

1. Click the "Message" icon on your Blackberry Curve home screen.

2. Highlight the message you want to open. Click the trackball to select and open the message.

3. Press "Menu" and select "Retrieve" if the message does not appear automatically.

4. Click the trackball in the message screen. Select "Reply," "Reply All," "Forward" or "Delete" to perform the corresponding action you want to apply to the message you are reading.

5. Click the "End" key to exit the message-view screen.
