How to Change the Wallpaper on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

The wallpaper is the background image used for your desktop.

One of the personalization features of Windows is the option to change the background wallpaper of the desktop. If you would like to select a custom wallpaper, you can do so through the personalization menu.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and select the "Control Panel" menu option.

2. Select "Appearance and Personalization," "Personalization" and then "Desktop Background."

3. Select a picture from the list to use as your desktop wallpaper. If you can't find one in the image list, you can select other groups of wallpapers from the "Picture Location" box, or click "Browse" to select one from your hard drive.

4. Select your desired positioning setting from the "Picture Position" list. Windows can adjust the image in various ways if it's not the correct shape or size for your desktop.

5. Click the "Save Changes" button to save your settings.
