How to Upload Voice Files on Facebook

Facebook lets you upload voice audio files to the website as long as you're an administrator of a Facebook page. Not only can you post voice files to your wall's stream and into the News Feed of people who follow your page, but Facebook also stores the voice file on its servers for free. As of the time of publication, there is a 15MB size limit and the file must be in MP3 format. To upload voice files, you first need to add the Facebook Music Player application to your page.

  • Sign in to your Facebook account and locate the Music Player app. Type "music player" in the search box at the top of the page. Select the app listing for "Music Player."

  • Click the "Add to My Page" link on the left sidebar, then hit the "Add to Page" button for the page you want the application to be on.

  • Click the "Account" option at the top and select "Use Facebook as Page." Choose the page you want to access and click "Switch."

  • Click the "Edit Page" button and go to the Apps section. Click "Go to App" below the Music Player listing. The first time you use the app, you are prompted to select where you want to add the application and to click the "Add Music Player" button.

  • Click the "Add a Track" button on the next page. Click "Browse" to locate the audio file on your computer, then hit the "Upload File" button.

  • Fill out the song title, artist, album, link to buy and description for the uploaded audio file. You can leave some fields blank, but a title is required. When done, click the "Save Changes" button.
