PM6 is the file format of Adobe Page Maker 6, a desktop publishing application by Adobe. PDF is the Portable Document Format, a very common format for digital documents of all kinds. Though only a handful of programs support Page Maker files, PDF is an incredibly common global format used across many different operating systems.
Things You'll Need
- Adobe Page Maker or Adobe InDesign
Open your PM6 file in Adobe Pager Maker 6. You can also import your PM6 file into Adobe Page Maker7 or into any version of Adobe InDesign CS.
Select "Export" in the file menu and choose "Adobe PDF."
Adjust the settings of the document in the export dialog box. Choose which versions of Adobe Acrobat you wish your PDF to be compatible with in the "Compatibility" window. Choose whether you wish to embed fonts. Select the DPI of your color bitmap, gray-scale bitmap and monochrome bitmap images. Click "OK" when finished.
Click "Export..." or press "Return." Choose a location for your file.
