How to Use Photoshop to Lift Up an Eye
One of the benefits of using graphics-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop is the type of work the designer may perform. Instead of the risky plastic surgery involved with reformatting a face's shape, for example, a few clicks through Photoshop's tools results in an entirely new look. If allergies, age or an injury have caused an eye to sink down too low in a photograph, use Photoshop to perform a no-anesthesia-required eye lift.

1
Open Photoshop. Click the "File" menu, select "Open," go to the image with the eye to lift up and double-click the file name.
-
2
Press the Ctrl and + keys to zoom in on the eye in the picture. Zoom in so that the eye takes up the majority of space in the Photoshop work area.
-
-
3
Click the "Lasso" tool on the "Tools" pane. Draw an outline around the eye, making sure to get eye lashes, eye brow, eye lid and any under-eye coloring in the selection. Blinking lines surround the eye.
-
4
Right-click the lines and select "Layer via Copy." Nothing changes on the image visibly, but an extra copy of the eye is now on the picture.
-
5
Click the "Move" tool, the top tool on the "Tools" palette. Drag the eye up slowly into place. Moving the eye reveals the original eye below it.
-
6
Click the Background layer on the "Layers" palette on the bottom-left of the screen, to highlight it in blue.
-
7
Click the "Clone Stamp" tool on the "Tools" pane -- the tool looks like an icon of a stamper. Hover the cursor over a section of cheek or skin below the original eye. Press the Alt key and click the left mouse button one time, copying the skin area into Photoshop's memory. Release the Alt key.
-
8
Hover the cursor directly over the area of the original eye. Press and hold down the left mouse button, then drag the mouse all around where the original eye shows on the picture, depositing the copied facial skin and covering up the eye. Continue to click and drag to cover any other remnants of the original eye.
-
9
Click the "File" menu. Select "Save As." Type a new name for the image and click the "Save" button.
