How to Mount a Blank DVD With Daemon Tools

Daemon Tools is a popular disc-imaging software that allows you to make disc image files and to emulate virtual drives (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives). You can create four virtual drives on your PC to mount image files. Disc-imaging software like Daemon Tools emulates your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, and you can mount disc images such as ISO to your computer as if you were inserting an actual disc. In addition, you can use the virtual drive to mount DVDs, CDs, and Blu-Ray discs.

  • Insert the blank DVD into your CD-ROM drive.

  • Find the Daemon Tools system tray icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.

  • Right-click the Daemon Tools symbol, which is a lightning bolt that is white and blue, and then press "Virtual Devices," "Device 0: [K] No Media" and "Mount Image."

  • Find the CD-ROM drive that holds the blank DVD. Navigate to the "Computer" folder. This is where your CD-ROM drive is located. Double-click on the CD-ROM drive to mount a blank DVD with Daemon Tools.
