How to Add a Signature to iPhone Email

Save

iPhone email makes it easy to manage multiple email accounts wherever you have cellphone service. A signature, the short message attached to the end of email messages, reduces the amount of time it takes to compose new messages. Your email signature might include your name, contact information and a favorite quotation. By adding a signature, you are only responsible for filling out the body of each email and don't need to manually sign each email.

  • Tap on the gray "Settings" icon on your iPhone home screen.

  • Tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" line.

  • Scroll down to the "Mail" section of the page, and tap the "Signature" line. By default, the iPhone displays "Sent From my iPhone" as the signature.

  • Tap the end of the current signature, and use the backspace key on the iPhone keyboard to erase it; the backspace key is an arrow with an "x" on it. Use the keyboard to type a new signature.

  • Click the "Mail" arrow in the top left corner of the screen to navigate back to the previous screen and save the new signature.
