Sending a Complaint by Mail
Look up the address of the UPS center you want to send your complaint to. UPS lists on its website the addresses of its global and regional headquarters. You will need this information so you know where to send the letter.
Open up a new document in your preferred word processing software on your computer. In the top left of your letter, type in the address of the UPS headquarters you are sending your letter to. Insert two line spaces and type the month, day, and year. Insert two more line spaces and write some variation of "To whom it may concern" or "Dear Sir or Madam."
Insert two line spaces and start the body of your letter with a brief sentence about the reason you are sending in a letter. Explain your complaint and include as much information as you can. For example, if a UPS deliverer was rude to you, give the name of the person, what day the incident occurred, what package he was delivering, and a description of him. If your complaint is about a package that was delivered to the wrong address, provide the tracking number of the package, the contents of the package, and the address of the intended recipient. The more detailed you are and the more information you provide the better.
End the letter with a line of how you can be contacted, such as your phone number and e-mail address. Insert two line spaces and write a salutation, such as "Sincerely" or "Regards," and then insert two line spaces and type your name.
Print the letter out, fold it and place it into an envelope. Place a stamp on the envelope, write your return address in the upper left corner, and address the envelope with the address for the UPS center you want to send it to. Place your letter in the mailbox and wait for a reply from UPS.
