How to Convert My Cubase LE Files to MP3

Save

Although the "light edition" (L.E.) of Steinberg's Cubase audio-production software lacks some of the instrument tracks and advanced audio-processing utilities of the full version, it is functional enough to facilitate robust audio projects. And Cubase LA does allow you to export your epic production so that you can listen to it outside of the Cubase workspace. With the help of Cubase LE's export options, you can compress any project, big or small, into a high-quality, yet compressed, MP3 audio file.

  • Launch Cubase L.E. Load your project into the program. Make your final adjustments to your projects, such as adjusting track levels or track effects.

  • Set your project's "In" and "Out" points in the "Transport" playback menu. Drag the timeline slider to the point where you'd like your project to begin, and then click on the "Punch in" button to set your project's start point.

  • Drag the timeline slider to the point where you'd like the project to end. Click on the "Punch out" button to set your project's end point.

  • Click on the "File" menu, navigate to the "Export" option and then select the "Audio Mixdown" option from the "Export" menu.

  • Click on the "File as type" field, when the "Export Audio Mixdown in" window appears, and then choose the "MP3 File (*mp3)" option from the drop-down.

  • Enter a name for your MP3 file into the "File name" field. Click "Save" to export your project to an MP3.
