Find the symbols on your phone's keyboard. These are commonly found in the "Symbols" menu of your text messaging keyboard. Though some phones with a full-size keyboard require you to press a "function" key while pressing the symbol key. Other phones allow you to repeatedly press the period "." or "1" button to cycle through available symbols.

Insert a colon, hyphen and asterisk. For example, :-* or turn the face the other direction by reversing the order as *-:.

Experiment with different symbols and combinations to customize your Kiss Smiley. For example, using an 8 in place of a colon gives you larger eyes: 8-*. Try to come up with a customized Kiss Smiley to make those kisses you send a little more unique and special.
