How to Make a Kiss Smiley Through Text Message

How to Make a Kiss Smiley Through Text Message thumbnail
Kisses and technology can work together!

Text messaging is a convenient and fast way to make conversation, send a quick note or just let someone know you are thinking about him. Emotion can be lost in text, however, since the recipient cannot hear your voice or see your body language. To send a quick show of affection and let that special someone know you are thinking about him, let your emotion show with a Kiss Smiley.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the symbols on your phone's keyboard. These are commonly found in the "Symbols" menu of your text messaging keyboard. Though some phones with a full-size keyboard require you to press a "function" key while pressing the symbol key. Other phones allow you to repeatedly press the period "." or "1" button to cycle through available symbols.

    • 2

Insert a colon, hyphen and asterisk. For example, :-* or turn the face the other direction by reversing the order as *-:.

    • 3

Experiment with different symbols and combinations to customize your Kiss Smiley. For example, using an 8 in place of a colon gives you larger eyes: 8-*. Try to come up with a customized Kiss Smiley to make those kisses you send a little more unique and special.

Tips & Warnings

  • These faces are also great for use in emails and instant messaging!

  • Before sending any affectionate text messages, make sure you are sending to the correct recipient. Nobody likes to accidentally send his boss or parents a message intended for his love.
