Plug the MagicJack into a USB port firmly on your computer. Make sure it is completely plugged in.

Navigate to the MagicJack website and click on the link box labeled "Click Here" to initiate the download for the MagicJack software update.

Click "Run" on the download menu that appears. Wait for the software to finish updating. After the download is finished, double-click the file from your desktop that the MagicJack will load.

Run the update software and complete the directions prompted on the screen. After completing the update, unplug the MagicJack and wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in.

Magic jack repair was not helpful and there is not a live person to talk to without payment. That I am totally against paying double paying a product that doesnot work trying to reseach the problem to make it work. Not satisfied.

the web site 'how to repair a Magic Jack' was helpful and free but if you go to the magic jack web site they want to sign you up for a $39 per month contract before they even talk to you. Why would anyone be willing to pay twice as month for repair serve than what they pay for the phone service?
