The margins on a page are the empty white space from the edge of the page to where your content begins. Microsoft Excel automatically sets the margins to 1 inch on the left and right sides, .75 inch at the top and .5 inch at the bottom. You may want to change the margins to accommodate more content or change the way the spreadsheet prints. Excel allows you to change all margins or just one, for maximum flexibility.
