How to Clear the Change Engine Oil Light on a 1999 Grand Prix

The 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix came with three engine options: a 3.1-liter V-6, a 3.8-liter V-6 and or supercharged 3.8-liter V-6. These engines produced 160, 200 and 240 horsepower, respectively. The 1999 Grand Prix had an optional oil life monitoring system that used your driving style and driving conditions to calculate when the car needed an oil change. Pontiac combined this system with the optional trip computer and displays the oil life in a percentage on the trip computer's display. You must manually reset this system after each oil change.
