How to Block in Skype Messenger

Skype is a free software program that allows you to call and chat online with other users who also have the program. It is an excellent way to keep in touch and make new friends. But sometimes new friends aren't what they seem; Skype users are no strangers to spam and solicitations via chat message. If you have a contact in your Skype account who is sending you spam or who you don't want to chat with, you can block her from sending you messages in Skype.

Instructions

1. Open Skype.

2. Type your user name and password to log in, if prompted.

3. Click the contact you want to block in the list on the right-hand side of the screen.

4. Click the button marked "Menu" that appears next to the contact's name.

5. Click "Block This User."

6. Click "Block" in the window that appears.
