How to Erase the Memory on a Canon MP800 Printer

Save

The Canon PIXMA MP800 All-in-One printer acts as a fax, copier and scanner in addition to a printer. It can store information in its memory such as phone numbers, pictures, and letterhead information. If you are planning to sell or dispose of the printer, or if you need to start over with the device, you can reset the printer and clear out its memory. The printer will then need to be reprogrammed with the new information.

  • Press the "Menu" button on your printer.

  • Use the arrow keys on the printer to scroll to "Reset Setting."

  • Press OK to be taken to a warning about resetting your printer.

  • Confirm that you want to reset the memory settings of the printer by pressing OK.
