Cooking deer the right way can mean the difference between dry tough meat and succulent juicy meet. There are plenty of ways to make venison successfully, and one of the easiest is in a crock pot. Crock pots are very popular cooking tools as they use a low amount of heat to cook meat over a long period of time. It is very difficult to burn food while cooking with a crock pot.
Things You'll Need
- 1 lb. venison(cubed)
- 1 can liquid/sauce to cook meat in
- Preferred vegetables(sliced)
Pour half of the chosen liquid or sauce into the crockpot. Popular examples are spaghetti sauce or cream of mushroom soup.
Add venison meat and vegetables and cover with the rest of the sauce. Good vegetables choices are onions, peppers and garlic.
Put the crockpot on low heat and cook for six hours.
