How to Install Fonts in Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator reads the fonts from the Fonts folder in Windows. In order to install new fonts in Illustrator, the user just needs to copy the font file to the Fonts folder in Windows. After the file is installed, the font is available in any Windows program, including Illustrator. The user can install the font by opening the font file or by dropping it into the Fonts folder.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button in the Windows task bar, and click "Control Panel."

2. Click "Appearance and Personalization," then click "Fonts."

3. Drag and drop the font file into the "Fonts" window.

4. Close Adobe Illustrator and re-open the program.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also double-click on the font file, and click the "Install" button.
