How to Delete Pictures Off My Nano 5th Gen

The iPod Nano 5th Generation by Apple is a sleek and slim media player that allows you to play your favorite media content including music, videos and photo slideshows. If you have several pictures on the device and are possibly running out of memory space, you can delete unwanted images quickly and safely. Do so using iTunes, the default iPod management program, to delete pictures off your media player automatically.

  • Connect your iPod Nano 5th Generation media player to your computer using your USB cable and then launch iTunes if it does not launch automatically.

  • Select your iPod under "Devices" in the iTunes interface and click the "Photos" tab.

  • Select the "Sync photos from" check box and then select "iPhoto" (Mac Users). If you are using Windows, select "Photoshop Album" or "Phtoshop Elements."

  • Choose "Select Albums" and then uncheck the albums you want to remove from your iPod Nano.

  • Click "Apply." iTunes automatically deletes the photos from your iPod Nano. Disconnect your player from your computer when you see the "iPod sync is complete" message.
