Save

Microsoft Word handles drawings by placing them within a grid. Drawing objects in Microsoft Word include images, graphics and other objects other than text. Placing objects exactly where you want them is easy when you know how to use the snap-to-grid settings.

  • Select an image in the document by single-clicking the image.

  • Click the "Align" drop-down arrow in the "Arrange" area of the "Format" tab.

  • Select the "Grid Settings" menu item.

  • Deselect the "Snap objects to grid when gridlines are not displayed" option.

  • Click the "OK" button to save the changes.
