How to Install Flip Video Software
Flip video cameras are small digital camcorders that allow users to directly transfer the recorded video files using the camera's built-in hard drive. Flip video cameras also come with a program called FlipShare. This program is installed when the camera is plugged into the computer and allows the computer to recognize the camera by installing its driver.

Open the Flip camera's USB cable by pushing your thumb down on the slot on the side containing the USB cable. On most Flip cameras, the slot is on the left side of the camera when the playback screen is facing the user.

Plug the Flip video camera's USB cable into an open USB port on the computer. The Flip's program installation screen will appear.

Click "Next" at the bottom of the screen to install FlipShare to the computer's primary hard drive. The program's files will begin installing to the computer. A screen will tell you when the installation is complete. Click "Close" to close the installation screen.
