How to Disable Wireless on DIR-615

DIR-615 is a wireless router developed by D-Link. DIR-615 enables sharing of an Internet connection both wirelessly and through wired connections. Images, documents, videos and files can be shared between the connected computers via the router. Using D-Link's web-based configuration utility, the wireless feature of the router can be switched off conveniently.

  • Enter the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the router in a web browser (which is 192.168.0.1). Hit "Enter."

  • Type "admin" as the username and type your password (the default password is blank).

  • Select the "Setup" tab on the top bar of the webpage. On the left side, click "Wireless Settings."

  • Click "Manual Wireless Network Setup" at the bottom of the webpage.

  • Uncheck the box in front of "Enable Wireless."

  • Click "Save Settings" to disable wireless on the router.
