How to Get Dramatic Eyebrows
Makeup artists around the world agree that eyebrows have the ability to frame the face. Eyebrows play an important role in the overall structure of the face, with the ability to bring out and complement features. Dramatic eyebrows are sculpted with a fairly high arch. Arched eyebrows give an instant lift to the eyes that is attractive on many people. A shaded-in brow is also a dramatic look. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Hold a pencil vertically against the side of one nostril. With a white eyeliner pencil, mark the spot by your eyebrow that meets the pencil. This is where your eyebrow should start. Make another mark with the white pencil at the point where the pencil meets when it is held diagonally, starting from the side of the nostril and connecting with the natural arch of the eyebrow. Make a final mark with the eyeliner pencil at the point where the pencil is held diagonally, from the side of the nose to the tail of the eyebrow.

Pluck any stray hairs around your eyebrows. Include the area between your eyebrows, while avoiding plucking any hair in the area you have marked with the white eyeliner pencil. If this is uncomfortable for you, you can use a numbing cream, such as a gel for teething babies, to help soothe the area before you start to pluck.

Hold an eyebrow stencil over your eyebrow and use the white eyeliner crayon to trace around your eyebrow. Eyebrow stencils come in various designs; choose one with a high arch. Pluck any stray hairs. Use meticulous attention to detail as even one hair out of place can change the appearance of the eyebrows. Do not over-pluck. It may be necessary to stand back and look at your eyebrows in the mirror during the process to see if they look even.

4
Use a light to medium brown eyebrow pencil to shade in your brows. Light to medium brown can generally be used on anyone to shade in brows. Use small, short strokes that are similar to the length of one eyebrow hair. Do not draw one long line against your eyebrows, as this can result in an artificial, obvious look. Avoid using dark colors such as black to shade in your eyebrows. The look should be dramatic and not angry.
