How to Convert Documents to Booklets in Word 2007

Booklets create a readable word document that lays out just like a print book or manual. Microsoft Word has a feature that lets you lay out the document in booklet format. You can then print the document or just save it to send to a self-publishing company or reader. The booklet format feature is found in the Page Layout properties in Microsoft Word.

  • Click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Click "Microsoft Office 2007," then click "Word 2007" to open the software.

  • Press "Ctrl" and "O." This keyboard combination is a shortcut to open your files. Double-click the file you want to open and lay out as a booklet.

  • Click the "Page Layout" tab at the top of the Word window. In this tab, click the "Page Setup" button. This button opens the Page Layout Configuration window.

  • Select "Book Fold" in the "Multiple Pages" drop-down box. Select "Auto" in the "Sheets per Page" drop-down box. Click "OK" to save your settings. The view in Word displays in booklet format.
