How to Take a Calculator Out of Scientific Notation TI-30X IIS


The Texas Instruments TI-30X IIs is a solar powered calculator with basic scientific calculator functions. It has a two-line monochrome display that can display up to 11 characters on the screen, and can scroll left and right to show up to 88 characters. The scientific notation mode is accessed through a secondary key function. Getting out of scientific notation is basically the same process.

  • Press the "2nd" button.

  • Press the "DRG" button to select "SCI/ENG."

  • Scroll to "FLO" to return to floating notation.

  • Press "=" to exit and save.
