How to Reset a Nokia N800

The Nokia N800 is an Internet tablet. Internet tablets are devices situated somewhere in the virtual realm between smartphones and laptop computers. The N800 enables you to watch videos, listen to music, surf the Internet and Skype on the go, using your service provider's network, instead of a Wi-Fi connection. If you're having problems with your N800, or you received one secondhand, you can reset it to its original settings and clear it of all acquired data. Once the information has been deleted, however, it's permanent; so reset your N800 with caution.

  • Turn on your Nokia N800 and navigate to the home screen.

  • Open the "Applications Menu," followed by "Settings" and then "Control Panel."

  • Select "Control Panel," followed by "Tools" and then "Restore original settings." Select "OK" to confirm.

  • Key in your device's lock code when prompted. If you haven't reset the unlock code, enter "12345," as this is the N800's default lock code.

  • Select "OK" to confirm. Wait for your device to erase all of its settings. You will receive a notification on your screen telling you that the device has been reset. All internal memory, browser data, connectivity settings and media files will have been erased. Your Nokia N800 is now reset.
