How to Improve the Quality in Windows Movie Maker

Save

Windows Live Movie Maker is a digital video editing tool that comes bundled with Windows 7 installation. This software helps you create video projects that you can later save or publish to video sharing sites like YouTube. If you are saving your video and find that the quality lessens after your save, there is another option that allows you to save a higher quality video file.

  • Load the Windows Live Movie Maker application. Click "Start," then type "Windows Live Movie Maker" into the box at the bottom of the Start Menu and press "Enter."

  • Open your video project by clicking the file icon near the top-left corner of the screen. Select "Open Project" from the drop-down menu and double-click your project.

  • Click on the file icon once more and hover your mouse over the "Save movie" option.

  • Choose "High Definition" to save your video as an HD movie. This option saves your movie as a 720p video file, which is higher quality than the more often used "Standard Definition" setting.
