How to Paint a Child to Look Like the Hulk

Save

The Incredible Hulk -- the physical embodiment of mild-mannered David Banner's "anger" emotion -- is one of Marvel Comics flagship characters. The Hulk has stood the test of time, as many comic fans admire and relate to his passionate, raging emotions. Though best known in cartoon form, Lou Ferrigno's live-action portrayal of the Hulk in the 80s TV series struck a chord with viewers of all ages. You can paint a child's face to resemble whichever Hulk he prefers.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 makeup foam wedges
  • Makeup brush
  • Green face paint
  • Black face paint
  • White face paint
  • Black or dark green nail polish
  • Dip a makeup wedge in green makeup and apply it evenly all over the child's face. Use lime green for a cartoonish Hulk, and a darker, earthy green for a more realistic Hulk. If painting a cartoonish Hulk, don't apply green paint 1 inch around the mouth area.

  • Dip a clean makeup wedge in black face paint and apply it around the eyes to make dark circles. Blend the black with the green paint underneath. If making a realistic Hulk, blend black face paint with green and use a makeup brush to apply the mixture like lipstick. If making a cartoon hulk, use a makeup brush to paint white "teeth" all around the mouth, then frame them in a black oval to give the appearance of a fierce, open mouth

  • Paint all other exposed areas green, if desired. This will give a more hulk-like appearance, but can also be quite messy if the child touches furniture and walls. If painting hands and feet green, paint fingernails and toenails dark green or black to complete the look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wash the child's face and allow it to dry before applying Hulk makeup.
