Insert the key into the fireproof safe and turn it in the direction required to unlock the safe.

Enter the pass code you originally selected for the safe. This is typically a four- or five-digit number. You may hear an unlocking sound after the code has been correctly entered.

Turn the combination dial on your fireproof safe if it is equipped with a combination lock rather than a keyed lock. Typically, you must turn the dial to the right, then to the left and again to the right, or vice versa, stopping at certain numbers. You may hear an unlocking sound once the correct combination has been entered.

Open the safe to access your valuables.

Close the fireproof safe and either lock it with the key or spin the combination dial to lock the safe and reset the tumblers.
