How to Reset an iPod 4U551U57TXK

Resetting your iPod won't change what's on it.

When you reset your iPod 4U551U57TXK, it goes through the same process as a computer that's been reset. In essence, all of your saved music, videos and images will remain on your iPod while the system itself is rebooted. The main reason you'll need to reset your iPod 4U551U57TXK is if it freezes, usually from attempting to open a file it's not capable of opening. Reseting your iPod 4U551U57TXK will not harm it in any way.

Instructions

1. Slide the "Hold" switch into the "Hold" position. The button will be found on the top of your iPod. It will be the only button on the top of your iPod.

2. Slide the "Hold" switch into the "Off" position. Your iPod will turn off, unless it's frozen, in which case you won't know you've done this correctly until you've completed all of the steps.

3. Hold the "Play" key and the "Menu" key down for eight seconds. At this point, Apple/iPod logo should appear. You may need to repeat this step. If your iPod does not reset correctly, try repeating these steps while the iPod is plugged into an outlet or computer.
