How to Disassemble an MX Revolution

The MX Revolution is a cordless optical mouse manufactured by Logitech. It uses an internal optical beam instead of a ball in order to operate and is powered by an internal rechargeable battery. If you want to change open it up completely to diagnose problems or replace parts, you can do so in a matter of minutes.

Things You'll Need

• Small Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

1. Turn the mouse over. Notice rubber pads on the sides of the bottom of the unit. These pads protect the screws.

2. Pop the pads off of the bottom of the mouse with the tip of your screwdriver to expose the screws.

3. Remove the screws from the bottom of the mouse.

4. Lift the top case of the mouse off of the bottom plate. The internal components of the mouse are attached to the base plate.

5. Unplug the square battery pack from its port in the center of the base plate. The unit is now disassembled. Reverse steps for reassembly.
