How to Put in a Drawstring Ponytail

Things You'll Need

• Drawstring ponytail
• Wide-tooth comb
• Gel or styling product
• Elastic band
• Bobby pins
• Ponytail holder

Instructions

1. Wash, condition and dry your natural hair as you normally would.

2. Comb your natural hair thoroughly with a wide-tooth comb to remove any knots or tangles.

3. Brush your natural hair in the direction you want the ponytail to go, then apply gel or your favorite styling product on your hair and edges to give your hair a firm hold.

4. Use an elastic band to put your hair into a secure ponytail. Wrap the hair that is in the ponytail around the base of the ponytail to make a bun. Secure the bun with two bobby pins.

5. Place the drawstring ponytail over your natural ponytail and secure it with the attached clips.

6. Pull the drawstrings on the ponytail tightly so that the drawstring ponytail completely covers the ponytail you made of your natural hair.

7. Wrap the drawstring around the base of the ponytail and secure it with two bobby pins.

8. Wrap a ponytail holder around the base of the drawstring ponytail to make it look more natural.
