How to Convert UTM Meters to Degrees

UTM meters and degrees are two different ways of finding a specific location on a map. When you convert from one to the other, you do not convert in the same way you would a unit of measurement or a mathematical equation. Instead, you use the UTM meters that you already have to find the location in question, at which point you can then find the degrees for that same location.

Load the DMAP website and type your UTM meters into the "Easting" and "Northing" boxes at the bottom of the table. Click the "Convert" button. The calculator converts the UTM meters into latitude and longitude degrees, minutes and seconds.
